Your home screen

What you see right after signing in depends on your role. Zahen has two surfaces, and it takes you to the right one automatically.

  • Employee mode — a simple, focused home for everyday staff. If your role is Employee or Department user, this is what you’ll land on.
  • The operator console — the full workspace with the navigation sidebar, governance, and administration. If you have an approver, admin, security, or developer role, you’ll land here. It’s described in A tour of the workspace.

You don’t choose between them — your role decides.

Employee mode is built around two things: starting a request, and tracking it.

  • Pick an assistant. The home screen shows the assistants available to you as tiles (“What can we help with?”). Choose one — for example Policy assistant or Support triage — and you’re taken to a short, guided form.
  • Fill in the form and submit. Each assistant asks only for what it needs (a question, a ticket’s details, and so on). Submitting starts an agent task.
  • My requests. Everything you’ve submitted appears under My requests, with a plain-language status so you always know where it stands:
StatusWhat it means
In progressThe assistant is working on it.
Waiting for approvalA person needs to approve a step before it continues. See Approvals.
DoneFinished — open it to read the result.
Couldn’t completeIt stopped without finishing; try again or contact your administrator.

Open any request to read its result and citations.

Both surfaces have a notifications bell that tells you when a request finishes or needs attention — see Notifications.
